Tradies Health Month

Tradies look after their tools, but are they good at looking after their most valuable one – their body?

The trade industry represents roughly 1/3 of the Australian workforce, yet accounts for almost 60% of the serious claims for workers compensation. With the average time taken off sitting at 5 weeks, it’s a huge cost to our economy!

The month of August is Tradies Health Month and at Ormond Physiotherapy we are here to shed some light on the true value of looking after your number one tool!

Research conducted by the APA has shown that tradies are twice as likely to look after their tools, than they are their bodies, which is why they put up with aches and pains everyday.

But it really doesn’t have to be like this! Early treatment of niggles will reduce the likelihood of more serious injury and the team at Ormond Physiotherapy are here to help!

There are many different ways which trades people can ensure their health and safety at work, so throughout the month of August we will be sharing our tips to help keep your body functioning to the best of its ability.

So, add a physio to your toolkit this August, and keep them in there – your number one tool will be better off for it! #choosephysio
