About Ergo Therapy
Ergonomics is the study of how humans interact with objects. The aim of ergonomics is to create an environment that is compatible with the user’s physical needs in order to minimise the risk of injury, yet increase efficiency.
Ormond Physiotherapy’s Ergo Therapy is the assessment of the ergonomic setup of your workstation at home and subsequent recommendations on how to improve your workspace to mitigate the risk of injury.
An Ergo Therapy assessment includes a thorough assessment of:
- Your workstation needs
- Any musculoskeletal injuries or potential injuries
- Your working environment and functions surrounding working at home
- Your workstation set up including; chair set up, desk, computer screen, keyboard and mouse, surrounding environment and organisational set up.
The assessment is conducted by a qualified physiotherapist with additional training in ergonomic and workstation assessments.
In addition to the assessment, a detailed report will be provided by the assessing physiotherapist with all findings and recommendations established through the assessment.
