About

Although being active offers many benefits, sometimes our bodies don’t play their part and we get injured. Sporting injuries can occur at any age, and come in many different forms.
The most common sporting injuries include;

Assessment

The best thing you can do for a sporting injury is to get it assessed as soon as possible, immediate assessment and treatment will ensure that your return to play is a quick as possible. A thorough assessment will be completed by one of our physiotherapists and a diagnosis will be made. Should further diagnostic tools be required, such as X-Ray, Ultrasound or MRI, your physiotherapist is able to refer you for these.

Treatment

After an assessment, your therapist will develop a treatment plan with you. This will outline how you can expect your injury to progress, and what steps need to be taken to get you back playing as soon as possible. Your plan may involve a combination of physiotherapy, remedial massage, exercise physiology and Pilates. Your therapist can also liaise with your club or coach to ensure you are returning to training at the correct time and are completing the proper loads.
